A non-profit called Random Acts of Flowers recycles and re-purposes flowers and then delivers them to hospitals and nursing homes. Flower deliveries brighten their day. The organization is about to pass a significant milestone.
Bright colors, sweet scents, busy hands. It’s a volunteer job that’s perfect for Mary Jane Rogers.
“I wanted to do something where it was really hands-on work and you could see your finished products and that kind of thing and feel like you were doing something useful,” she said as she arranged flowers at a warehouse in West Knoxville.
